That way, I must be making a comeback every six months.<br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">But unlike your contemporaries, you had less than a handful of hits to show for the eight years you spent in the industry</span>...<br /><br />I am hungry for different kinds of roles. I have been told time and again not to do certain films because ‘it’s bad for your career’. If I had done 10 films like <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Main Hoon Na</span>, no one would have noticed anything different in the 11th film.<br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">Is it true that your repeated attempts at recreating yourself and challenging your craft with every film has resulted in a career graph with more troughs than peaks?</span><br /><br />If one is successful while being stuck in a rut, doing the same kind of roles people have loved, I don’t think that’s success.<br /><br />Ten years down the line, I want people to point to my generation of actresses and say, ‘There were all these successful actresses and then, there was that crazy one.’ I want to be the crazy one.<br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">What do you think is the mantra behind your survival in the industry in spite of this attitude?</span><br /><br />It hasn’t been easy and I don’t recommend this to everyone. I have survived only because my beliefs are strong enough to override Fridays and the perceptions and concepts that the industry works on.<br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">Is it true that your daughter has a sister now?</span><br /><br />My sister’s also adopted a girl. Renee (Sush’s adopted daughter) now has a baby sister, Aaliya, to play with. She is hyper possessive about Aaliya. At five, Renee’s become a grandmother and wants to change Aaliya’s diaper.</div> </div>
